It can be used in eras ranging from The Thirty Years War (1618-1648) up through the Seven Years War (1756-1763) to the tumultuous turmoil of the Age of Napoleon (1803-1815) followed by the Franco Prussian War of 1870 and the double cataclysms of both World Wars in the 20th Century.
