Description
Burma Star World War Two - Full Size Replica
Please note that the image used is not one of our replicas and is for reference only. Our replicas are the best we have been able to source but at time of listing this item we have not taken individual photos of all the replica medals we can provide.
For service during World War II Australian personnel were awarded Imperial campaign medals. The same medals were issued to all Commonwealth personnel, and in addition Commonwealth countries generally issued a unique medal to recognise the service of their own people. In Australia the Australia Service Medal 1939-45 was issued.
The Burma Star was granted for operational service in the Burma Campaign between 11 December 1941 and 2 September 1945. This applies to land and air operations. One clasp was issued which was for the Pacifc. This medal is not that common for Australians.
The above price is for the full size replica medal and 10" (25cm) of ribbon unmounted.
The cost to mount the medal is $20. So for example this medal mounted would be $45.
