The Vietnam Medal was instituted in 1968 and awarded for service in Vietnam between 29 May 1964 and 27 January 1973. Service from 24 December 1962 until 29 May 64 was recognised by the General Service Medal 1962 with clasp SOUTH VIETNAM.
The Vietnam Medal was issued under the Imperial system but was mainly awarded to Australian and New Zealand personnel. A National Serviceman who was awarded this medal would also have the AASM 45/75 with Vietnam clasp, the Australian Defence Medal, National Service Medal and the Vietnam Star. A regular would have four medals not including the National Service medal.
The above price is for the full size replica medal and 10" (25cm) of ribbon unmounted.
The cost to mount the medal is $16.50. So for example this medal mounted would be $36.50.
