Andy Nielson, co founder of King and Country Toy Soldiers will be the guest speaker. The dinner will be held at and co-hosted with St Joseph's Nudgee College.
The College is commemorating the service of Old Boys of the College in WW1 and the Curator of their Museum, Dr Martin Kerby, has organised a group of collectors to put together an exhibition of three large toy soldier dioramas : Charge of the Australian Light Horse at Beersheba (K&C figures), a trench attack (featuring Britains and K&C figures) by Australian troops in 1918 and a German airfield under attack by Sopwith Camels (K&C and John Jenkins figures).
This years dinner will be quite different to the previous ones. The dinner will be held in the function hall below the Museum. In addition to the toy soldier displays the Museum has memorabilia items from sporting and military old boys.
The food this year will be a buffet and cost is $45 (not including drinks which will be at reasonable prices). Pre booking is recommended but payment will not be required until about 2 weeks before the dinner.
