Japanese Tokyo Surrender (18 MAR)

To mark the 75th anniversary of the end of WW2, we have brought to you a unique commemorative set featuring General Macarthur with Generals Wainwright and Percival stood behind him, (both of whom were captured by the Japanese during 1942) as they all would have been on the deck of the mighty USS Missouri in 1945.

Macarthur gave these two Allied officers ringside seats for the Japanese surrender, the irony of which cannot help to have been noticed by the Japanese delegation attending.


We also have at present four Japanese officials including Foreign Minister Shigemitsu amongst others. Chief of the General Staff General Umezu will follow as will General Blamey for the Australian contingent. These two figures are in the grey resin, painted version will follow soon. This initial set of seven figures should be available in February 2021. Some of these figures will be available with a round base in order to fit in with our previous Japanese surrender set in the jungle.


The wooden effect mat shown in the photos is also going to be available but will be a lighter teak colour to represent the deck of the Battleship where the surrender document was signed.
